For a long while I have been interested in the art of photography, I have always surrounded myself with the subject and had a huge passion for the visual arts. I make a habit of having it as a part of my everyday life. I am so interested in the study of it because for me photography is a release of expression and personality. It enables me to use each area of my imagination and put vivid ideas to the test. I love to experiment and take chances, it ensures me that my work is never perfect and there is always space for improvement and more imagination.
The majority of the work I have showcased on the blog is some of my favourite pieces from the last 2 years.
I have done a lot of work towards the fashion side of photography and have had a keen eye for the pin-up genre, now after researching numerous photographers Viva Van Story is a particular favourite of mine.
In my pin-up photos I have tried to add a lot of sexuality mixed with class, showing parts of the body but not to a lewd extent. I feel the era itself was that of a suggestive one for certain purposes but with that day and age nudity and the risqué side of the photos were frowned upon by many people, therefore in my images I tried to keep that connection to the original work.
My Alice and Hatter Photos were for an art project whilst I was studying for my exams and were two of the first more experimental shoots I did, I was really happy with the overall result and I enjoyed designing all the set and preparing for the shoot, it was exciting and fun.
Photography for me is exhilarating I am happy when I am doing it and it is the most exciting art form. I would love the opportunity to study it further.
